TAPP Applauds Members of Congress for passing the Music Modernization Act
Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity (TAPP) applauds the efforts of Congress for passing the Music Modernization Act (MMA) last week. The Music Modernization Act creates a music licensing system and updates copyright law to help ensure songwriters are paid digital royalties on their music that is streamed online.
TAPP commends the champions behind this legislation, Chairman Bob Goodlatte, Ranking Member Jerry Nadler, and Representatives Doug Collins, Darrell Issa, Marsha Blackburn, Joe Crowley, Ted Deutch, Hakeem Jeffries, and Tom Rooney. We are grateful for their leadership and commitment to protecting copyright law for all involved in the music industry.
