TAPP Writes Letter to Senate Judiciary Committee to Urge PBM Reform

Ahead of a U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee meeting on May 21, the Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity wrote to members of the committee to urge them to discuss Pharmacy Benefit Manager reforms in a hearing entitled "Ensuring Affordable & Accessible Medications: Examining Competition in the Prescription Drug Market."

In part, TAPP wrote, "The public agrees with our position at the Trade Alliance to Promote Prosperity: National polling demonstrates that a majority of likely voters overwhelmingly support policies to regulate these middlemen...  and require PBMs to provide more value and lower drug costs. Seventy-three percent of survey respondents said that the regulation of PBMs should be a high or top priority for Congress."
